It was a great dive bar.
The kind of place that poured stiff drinks.
They didn't much care what was happening in the bar.
Because no one would start any trouble in this weird Chinese restaurant.
I'm sure it's going to turn into condos.
Pretty soon we'll all have micro apartments.
And there will be nowhere to go.
So we'll stay in our little tiny homes all day.
Sad face.

Avengers vs X-Men Dicemasters
It's cards and dice!
In the starter deck, they give you flimsy paper bags.
Can't have that.
I've got cards to store.
And SO MANY DICE!
Now everything is in these deck boxes.
And I restrung this.

At Bush Garden
The videos for karaoke are incredible.
(Hey, did you know karaoke means 'empty orchestra'?)
(Isn't that hauntingly beautiful?)

Confiscated.
Kids were watching the games on their phones.
How dare they.
We already had the game on the big screen.
Join us, Dummies.

See, practice is normally on Thursday.
But this week it was Wednesday.
I did not remember that.

I love student art.
It's very clear who was following directions.
Some kids think they are magic snowflakes.
And they don't have to follow the rules.
Their pictures become crazy abstractions.
A 3rd grader is not Picasso.

Machi Koro with the Harbor Expansion.
Adding boats that let you fish the waters.
And more Reds, so you can steal from other players.
And $50 Coins, so you can feel rich!

Dicemasters and Fast Five
If we don't learn from the Furiverse, we are doomed to repeat the Furiverse.
The other game on the table is Lords of Waterdeep.
I want to go on record and mention that we played too many rounds.
I kept forgetting to move the round marker.
That's the ONLY reason you won, brother.

My approach to poker:
Never bluff.
"Play the man, not the cards" works for James Bond.
He's better than me.

I have such a backlog of games to play.
Some of these I've never touched.
Others still need a Platinum trophy.
I'm pretty good at games by now.
I should be able to fly through most of these.
What's on top? Let's start with that one...
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
This game is incredible.
(I'm 40 hours in and I don't want to stop!)
(It's ridiculously good.)

I watched all of this in a weird fever dream.
Literally.
I was popping dayquill like candy.
But this show feels like 30 Rock without being a repeat.
Not everything works (thankfully, Martin Short only shows up once), but so many parts of this will make you laugh.
I'm rewatching it a second time, and it's still funny.
And the theme song is a JAM!

But I found myself at the store today, pulling each one of these off the shelf.
Each one of these seires is awesome.

The Last Five Years
Spotify is a double edged sword.
Every song (except Taylor Swift) is at your fingertips.
So when I saw a trailer for "The Last Five Years", I wanted to check it out.
Then I listened to it six times in a row.
It's not that the songs grabbed me immediately.
They were just catchy enough to keep me coming back.
The story is structured where the man is going forward through their relationship, while the woman is going backwards through their relationship.
The only downside of this is the two characters rarely sing the same song. Which is probably a strong thematic choice, but robs me of any harmony the two characters might have.
If it sounds good to you, it's worth a try.
