On January 23, doctors told 26-year-old Meredith Legg Stapleton she had a month to live. She allowed herself a moment to be sad, and to cry, and to comfort her husband, Christopher, because of course she had to be the strong one since, as Christopher says through laughter and tears, "That is just Meredith."
Then she prayed for two things: she wanted to see enough snow to build a snowman, and she wanted to live long enough to attend the Carolina-Duke game on Feb. 12.

In Mill Creek. It's like VooDoo Doughnut, but (slightly) closer.

In case anyone wants to get me a present.

The waterslide goes outside?!?!

Uniforms are important because they define the team.
Every sport I coach likes to have uniforms.
And we even go so far as to have "spirit wear", so we can be part of the team even when we're not playing the game.
Often times, they'll throw in free shirts for the coaches.
Which is why I have a whole closet full of stuff like this:

( The Brooklyn 99 Pilot had a great piece about uniforms and why they matter.)
(You're not watching that show?)
(Are you allergic to joy?)

Unrelated: In confronting my recent Pack Rat issues, I've found that I don't even finish some of the great stuff that I already have. But I'll still go buy new stuff, just to have the new.

So things like Grand Theft Auto 5 (which is AMAZING) get put back on the shelf before I've even finished them. So I dusted it off.
The world still feels fresh and alive.
And Michael just joined the Episilon Group.
Which is not a cult.
But they did force him to buy these robes to aid his "enlightenment".
See? Uniforms matter.

They are replacing the Water Heater in my apartment today.
Which means I had to take everything out of the closet to make room for the workers.
Which means I had to confront how much crap has been shoved in my closet.
It's a studio-ish apartment, so there isn't a ton of extra room to begin with.
But I inherited a pack rat gene from my father.
And I'm shocked at how many things I still have that I don't use.
Why would I need TWO extra putters, Rockband 3 Drum Cymbals and a COONSKIN CAP?
It's one of those things where I know I should be appreciative that someone else is taking care of this.
I wouldn't know the first thing about buying or changing out a water heater.

Borderlands 2

This game was invented for co-operative play.

I know that I'm two years behind, but I'm just getting around to this and it's really great. It's pure mindless fun. There are no larger messages or comments about violence and its place in society. It's just a game about blowing things up.

Hey, You!
 Watch Jimmy Fallon.
For real.

While watching the Olympics, I realized that most of my favorite events were "borrowed" from the X-games. Snowboard cross is always fun. Slopestyle is a great mix of tricks and air. And short track speedskating has the same frantic energy. Then I thought, "What if the they were combined to have speed skating with obsticles downhill?"
Turns out, they already have it.
Red Bull Crashed Ice
This needs to be an Olympic event.

At Wacko

From Capriotti's Sandwich Shop.
It's called "The Bobbie" but it's a Thanksgiving sandwich.

It's like getting out to recess and realizing you have all the toys to yourself.

RUSSELL!!

You can just see the castle lit up in the background.

There it is again.

I love Wreck-It- Ralph, but this game is kinda weird.

IRON MAN!!

There are dioramas in the windows of Main Street depicting some movies that don't have other attractions in the park. I feel like a Ratatouille restaurant is a no-brainer.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was acquired in a trade with NBC. Disney gave up Al Michaels (a real live sportscaster) in exchange for the rights to this Mickey precursor. You can look it up.

Cars Land at night is amazing.
