Rattlesnake Ledge

Because it was close and wouldn't take too long.

Sharknado 2: The Second One
My family loved the Sharknado Double Feature.

Netrunner at Bauhaus

It turns out, we still haven't cracked all the systems in this game.
Now that we understand it, it's more fun.
But there are still times where we get totally lost.

Mixed Yelp reviews, but it's a good idea that's almost great. It looks like they've been going through quite a few menu and staffing changes lately. Our experience was pretty good. The menu was expansive and it's good if you stay with the basics.

Injustice: Gods Among Us
DC Superheroes beating the hell out of each other.
You're in or out based on that one sentence.

Villains Lootcrate

Rocket Racoon is not a villain.
Neither is Deadpool (well, NOW he isn't a villain).

Deco Japan at Seattle Asian Art Museum
Songbook for
"Moga" or Modern Girl was the embodiment of the new interwar Japanese culture.
She was traditional yet modern.
Straddling the two worlds just as Japan was trying to do.

Kirin Ornaments
Art Deco is one of my favorite styles.
And dragons are awesome.
The above are porcelain.

There were many other examples of traditional animals in the modern style.
Rabbits and flying fish were prominent in the collection

Rancho Bravo
As the token Seattle representative in 538's Burrito Bracket, my brother and I had to try it. If you've never been to the storefront on the South side of Cal Anderson park, it's probably because there are no signs. But you get a damn good burrito for six bucks. El Camion might be slightly stronger, and it's usually parked by the Ballard Safeway or the Home Depot on Aurora.

Begin Again
You're not going to rush out and see this in the theater.
But when you see it on HBO, or at Redbox, or streaming on Netflix, you should sit and watch it.

The best thing about board games, hands down, is the people. I don't just mean the sorts of people who play board games, I mean that more broadly: Playing a tabletop or board game means spending time with your friends, your family, your loved ones. Board games are about people.

Video Games can be fun to play with friends too.

Netrunner is one of the newer collectible card games. This is a great piece about the challenge and the community that game can build.

The Seattle Sounders Make A Dream Come True

The Inaugural "Beat the Blerch" race sold out in minutes. But you can get a virtual race kit here. And read some comics here.

NYT Magazine ran a great profile of Maria Bamford. Her "Special Special Special" is on Netflix. She performs a full stand up set for just her parents.

The TV Tropes website can suck hours out of my day. I love episodes with "Groundhog Day" style time loops.

The writer of Scott Pilgrim has a new book about the restaurant industry and time travelling mushrooms... or something...

Stanley: The world is being FedEx to hell in a handbasket. I think anyone even thinking bringing a child into this world is considering an act of cruelty... I'm sorry, I'm rambling. What's your news?

Carla: I'm pregnant. You didn't mean what you just said, right? About bringing a child into this world as an act of cruelty?

Stanley: I meant it at the time.

Carla: You said it seven-and-a-half seconds ago.

Stanley: Well... Gosh... Kind of a lot has happened since then....

All 171 World Cup Goals are ranked for you. Ronaldo looks pissed when he scores. Glad we sent him packing. Also, this debunks all the BS from the Final

Bryan Lee O'Malley talks about his new book, Seconds.

Seattle's Least Expected Great Decks

Weird Al makes "Tacky", recruiting several famous friends.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Hudson River Valley. A multi-course, all you can eat, farm to table bonanza.

Nerd-Nite Seattle. Don't know much about it, but it has all the right words.

Quite the sunset last night.

Can't imagine this list of day trips has changed much in a few years.

Dominion at Card Kingdom

The Archer game should be more fun.
It's just dice rolling with characters.

The first matchup in the Bellevue Pizza Challenge.
Dominos defeats California Pizza Kitchen.
