Day 97 - January 10, 2011
The Pacific Science Center sent me an email about their "Science Cafe". The talk was given by a UW researcher who focuses on crows and ravens. I learned so much, like:
Crows remember faces.
Crows give presents to people they like.
Crows scream and poop at people they don't like.
Crows can tell other crows to hate your face too.
Crows can learn vocalizations from other animals.
Crows can use tools to make other tools.
Crows are actually kind of cute.
Crows like Cheetos.
Can't believe this guy was the speaker and wish I had known. The dude is amazing. Have you seen the PBS series Murder of Crows?
