Why watch this show?
Downton Abbey is not the show it appears to be. It looks like a stuffy Jane Austen novel. But it feels more like an aristocratic, British version of Friday Night Lights.
Downton has: multiple intriguing characters, sharp dialogue, tight storylines that intertwine and satisfyingly conclude, and every episode contains either "stand up and cheer" moments, or "I can't believe they just did that?!?!" moments.
It's good.
Watch it.
